We do one thing: take the air out
A down jacket is mostly air. A duvet is almost nothing but air. They still take up as much wardrobe space as if they were solid — all year, including the eight months nobody touches them.
VAKA is vacuum bags for clothes. Fill, seal and pull the air out with the vacuum cleaner you already own. What took a shelf takes a few centimetres, and the bag goes rigid enough to stand on edge like a book.
Why not just a storage box?
A box makes the plastic the problem instead of the air. It takes the same room empty as full, it can't stand on edge, and it protects worse against damp and moths. VAKA removes the volume instead of moving it.
What we don't claim: that it suits everything. Leather, fur and garments that need to hang shouldn't be vacuum packed. We'd rather say that now than after you've bought.
